Rob Hart has spent 15 years at some of the most prominent radio stations in the Midwest. He got his start at the age of 19 on WTMJ, the leading news/talk station in the state of Wisconsin. From 2000-2005, he had a front row seat to some of the biggest stories of the day. He covered the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004. 2004 was also the year he was named Milwaukee’s best radio news anchor.
In 2005, he returned to his hometown of Chicago and WGN. During that time he rose from news anchor to fill-in talk show host. By 2011, he was the host of a weekend talk show, as well as guest host of WGN’s top-rated morning show. In 2010, he won a Siver Dome Award from the Illinois Broadcasters Association for Best News Reporter.
In 2012, after an attempt at launching an all-news FM radio station, Rob landed at 97.9 The Loop. From 2012 to 2015, he was the co-host of the morning show, which was consistently in the top 10 in its target demographic of men 25-54. During that time, he was also asked to host talk shows on 89 WLS, a legendary news/talk radio station.
